Nature Trails
More than 20 miles of nature trails meander under heavy tree canopies
throughout the Sanctuary. Meditation areas and wilderness parks
are destinations along the trails. Small recreational
parks
are found throughout the community.
A full-time natural resource manager helps increase residents’ knowledge
and understanding of the varieties of plant and animal life around the
community. Take
a video tour now with the nature resources manager.
“Once you leave the paved roadside and wind your way down the
lush stream corridor trails, tranquility engulfs you,” said Art
Oldham of Oldham Planning & Design Associates, the Sanctuary’s master
planners. “Fern banks, boulder outcrops, riffles, pools
and falls all delight the senses. In open, sunny glades, bird life abounds.
Five minutes into a trek, and you are transported by this wonderful natural
setting.”
