Shopping
Less than 10 minutes from the Sanctuary, grocery stores, drug
stores, pet supplies, and home improvement centers are all conveniently
located nearby.
- Just about 4 miles southeast of the Sanctuary, RiverGate is
a 600,000-square-foot shopping center. Tenants include SuperTarget,
Home Depot, Best Buy, Marshalls and PetSmart, among other stores, eateries
and services.
- Less than 5 miles north is Ayrsley,
a mixed-use retail, business and neighborhood district. Fine dining,
specialty shops and a 14 theater cineplex are just some of the attractions
of Ayrsley.
- Wal-Mart Supercenter and Bi-Lo anchor Whitehall
Commons just north of Ayrsley across Hwy 49. You'll find Applebee's,
Panera Bread, and other dining options, as well as a range of specialty
shops here - Whitehall Commons is the largest retail complex in southwest
Charlotte.
Just a little further away in Pineville, at I-485 exit 64 is Carolina
Place Mall. The area's first REI is just one of 130 specialty shops
here, along with anchor tenants Macy's, Dillards, Belk, JCPenney and
Sears.
