Medical Facilities

Approximately 50 internal medicine and family practice physicians have offices within 10 miles of the Sanctuary. In addition, there are a number of specialty practices nearby.

For major medical issues:

• Presbyterian Medical Plaza is just 4 1/2 miles from the Sanctuary. In addition to family medicine, the following specialty services are available at Presbyterian:

• Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville is about 20 minutes east of the Sanctuary. Outpatient services are just one of the several practices available, others of which include:
  • Women's services
  • Emergency & Intensive Care
  • Cardiopulmonary
  • Surgery
  • Rehabilitation
• Carolinas Medical Center's primary facility is in uptown Charlotte, about 20 minutes away. This multi-facility medical complex includes a Level I Trauma Center, Levine Children's Hospital, a research center and an organ transplant unit. It is the flagship center of Carolinas HealthCare System, which operates more than 300 care centers.
