There is a common theme in Doug McSpadden’s life. Excellence. From his family to his professional life, Doug sets high goals for himself and achieves them. A North Carolina native, an Eagle Scout and an honor graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Architecture, Doug started his custom home-building company in 1987. McSpadden Development Corporation was formed on the principles of honesty, integrity and service. Today the company is known as one of the finest home builders in upscale communities on Lake Wylie and Gaston County.
Doug and his team undertake each home with a service-oriented philosophy, working with only the most dedicated and professional subcontractors, craftsmen and suppliers. Field activities are headed by Mike Jenkins, a master of construction technologies. McSpadden Development Corporation has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Gold Award in the luxury division of the Mecklenburg County Parade of Homes. The company has also been featured in Builder/Architect magazine. For all his accomplishments, Doug is most proud of his family, which includes his wife and business partner, Laurie, and their two sons.
