Green Building Practices
Many of the owners and builders in the Sanctuary have chosen
to use green building techniques in the construction of their homes.
One of the most significant ways in which we can positively impact
the environment is by using green building practices to build our
homes. “Green” homes help to protect our forest and
wildlife habitats, conserve energy and water resources, keep waste
out of landfills and protect air quality. When done right, green
homes can often be more durable, energy-efficient and cost-effective
to build.
